Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz, Village Clerk and Sister Cities Founder Marg Duer, Sister Cities President Nghi Loi Pappas, and Scholarship Director Mona Yaghmour presented a $4,000 scholarship to Vibha Ranganathan at the Palatine Farmers Market on July 29.
Since 2020, the Sister Cities Association of Palatine has offered a $4,000 Scholarship honoring Dr. Elizabeth Hull, Palatine educator and founding member of the Association.

Saturday, May 7, the Palatine farmers market is the first to open in the NW Suburbs offering specialties for Mother’s Day, and highlighting our special guests, the Palatine Ukrainian Church women, who will be bringing their homemade Pierogis, better known in Ukraine as Varenyky. All proceeds will go to Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine through direct church contacts and to territorial defense units throughout the country.
