Contact lenses, milk filter socks, and bits of wire were just some of the items utilised by the transition year students of Colaiste Bride as they hosted two Junk Kouture fashion shows at the school last week. Involving 120 students, the two shows, one during the day for the younger audiences and one in the evening for friends and family, saw more than 1500 people pack into the school to watch the girls’ creations come to life.
The curtain came down on this year’s New Ross Drama Festival on Thursday night in St Michael’s Theatre, after professional standard productions enthralled audiences.
Kilmuckridge Drama Group and Thurles Drama Group were the shining stars of this year’s South Wicklow Drama festival, which came to a close on Sunday after a successful nine days of performances.
Students and staff in schools across County Wexford are buzzing with excitement this week ahead of the national Junk Kouture finals which will take place on Thursday, February 4.
Anticipation is particularly high in Coláíste Bríde in Enniscorthy as the school has six entries in the finals.
