Kent State student on the hunt for historic sculptures in Marion County One of Megan Calhoun's favorite sculptures is a grave marker for C.B. Merchant inside the Marion Cemetery. The marker is far from ordinary, as it consists of a large, granite ball sitting on top of a stone plinth. The Merchant Ball is known for mysteriously rotating off its base despite attempts to keep the ball in place.
