BILLINGS — They were a long time coming, but Flathead’s Anders Thompson and Sawyer Troupe finished their wrestling seasons a combined 90-0 Saturday, each with that elusive state championship.

The top-ranked Flathead Braves and the always threatening Bravettes each picked up a dual victory on Thursday’s Crosstown at Glacier High School.

It wasn’t on purpose that this year’s Crosstown wrestling duals have a little extra build-up: Blame Montana weather, with last week’s blizzard wiping out, among other events, the Rocky Mountain Invitational in Missoula.

Glacier coach Grady Bennett feels the 2023 Wolfpack are a little more together — and Friday, together, they put a complete thumping on the defending state champions.
