An officer in the Army was found guilty in military court this week of disobeying COVID-19 rules, but ...
The officer wasn't punished after being convicted on three charges, but the Army has continued to take action against those who refuse the jab.
The charges stem from 1st Lt. Mark Bashaw’s actions on Jan. 12 when he failed to obey orders meant to prevent the spread of coronavirus, which violates Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
First Lt. Mark Bashaw was charged with three cases of failing to obey lawful orders to mitigate COVID-19 infections.
The charges involve protocols in place to slow the spread of COVID-19 among service members, including testing for the virus and wearing a mask.
