A Michigan man is accused of getting into an argument with his wife, who got out of the vehicle they were in before he got behind the wheel and mowed her down, killing her.
A Grand Rapids man was arraigned in 79th District Court Sunday on charges of open murder and others from an incident Friday morning in Free Soil Township.
“I am heartbroken that such an event could play out in our community and done so publicly for innocent citizens to witness,” the sheriff said.
The couple got into an argument on US 31 that ended with the husband getting behind the wheel and hitting his walking wife on the road, authorities said.
