$1.6M gift to Markey will establish endowed chair in gynecologic oncology

A gift from the Telford Foundation to UK HealthCare will create an endowed chair in honor of John R. van Nagell Jr., M.D., medical director of UK Markey Cancer Center’s Ovarian Cancer Screening Program. The $1.6 million donation will be matched by UK’s Research Challenge Trust Fund to result in a total gift of $2.4 million that will support the senior level faculty position.
