College football turns its attention toward Starkville on Tuesday as Mississippi State honors former coach Mike Leach at Humphrey Coliseum.
Former Mississippi State coach Mike Leach, who died on Dec. 12 at age 61, was honored Tuesday afternoon by friends, coaches and players who shared personal stories of his humanity, sense of humor and deep curiosity.
The coach was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center on Sunday after suffering "a personal health issue" at home, the school said.
MSU said Sunday that Mike Leach suffered a medical incident at his home and was taken to a hospital. As of Monday, he remained in critical condition.
