Springfield's newest sports bar looks to separate from the pack with quality food and drinks. It will serve several sports-themed cocktails including "The Benchwarmer" a jalapeño-infused tequila. Appetizers like poutine, fried cauliflower, and buffalo chicken eggrolls will be served alongside classic American dishes.
Craft cocktails and hot jazz are coming to Worthington Street. At the site of the old Fat Cats in Springfield, a new bar and restaurant, Dewey’s Jazz Lounge is opening in the near future. On Tuesday, Dec. 29, owners posted to Facebook that Dewey’s Lounge is expected to be opening on Worthington Street in a “few short months.” An opening date will be sometime during the spring. The new restaurant and bar will be very different than Fat Cat’s no-frills bar and pool hall with $1 beer nights. Dewey’s owners said they have been doing serious renovations to the space since Dec. 6.
