It looks like GCW drew a huge crowd. The venue is packed. Marko Stunt came out first to a giant pop. Prazak said this was GCW’s biggest crowd since they ran a Spring Break show in New Orleans. Starboy Charlie was out next to a big pop and Starboy chants as well. (1) MARKO STUNT vs. STARBOY CHARLIE They went to a fast exchange off the ropes and Stunt sent Starboy to the floor with a rana. He then hit a tope suicida and the fans lost their minds again. Charlie caught Stune with a backbreaker and flexed before covering Stunt for a one count. Stunt fought back, but Charlie hit a snake eyes in the corner and a German with a bridge for a two count. They battled up top and Charlie hit a kick from the apron. He set up for a suplex to the floor, but Stunt blocked it and kicked out his legs through the ropes. He then hit a big running dropkick to Charlie’s head. Stunt set up Charlie in a chair and went up to the apron, but Charlie got up and surprised him by tripping him on ....
AEW Rankings (May 12, 2021): Luchasaurus is missing Share this story Men: Dynamite with the winner earning a world title shot against Kenny Omega at the Double or Nothing PPV on May 30. #3 Jon Moxley will defend the IWGP United States Championship against Yuji Nagata tonight. Darby Allin will be defending the TNT title against Miro tonight as well. After Allin was thrown down stairs, I think that makes Miro the strong favorite to win. Next week’s rankings should be interesting to see how far the #1 contender match loser falls and where Allin fits in if he loses. It could leave Hangman Page as the odd man out. ....
AEW has announced a change to the card for this week’s edition of Dynamite. After originally promoting a 10-man tag team match featuring Matt Hardy, Private Party, and TH2 taking on The Dark Order, Tony Khan has made a switch. Hardy will now team with Marq Quen in a tag team match against Hangman Page and John Silver, with Khan hinting on Twitter that he had a “long talk with a good friend” before announcing the swap. In the official announcement from AEW, Hardy explained how he played a role in convincing Khan that putting him in the ring with Page before Revolution was the right move. ....
