Blackhoof Township residents continued to voice concerns about Loving Earth Memorial Gardens Tuesday, but the Carlton County Attorney's Office said imposing a moratorium on green cemeteries would open the county up to lawsuits.
A total of 106 residents signed a petition against Loving Earth Memorial Gardens, a new green cemetery located in Blackhoof Township.
Commissioners also made a motion of support for two bills in the Minnesota Legislature.
Despite still having a high COVID-19 transmission rate, commissioners voted to remove the masking requirement, effective immediately, after the county saw a significant drop in cases.
