Air Marshal SP Dharkar on Saturday took over as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Air Force's Eastern Air Command from Air Marshal R D Mathur in Shillong, officials said.
The Union Home Ministry on Tuesday declared Tirap, Changlang, and Longding districts in Arunachal Pradesh and areas under four other police stations as 'disturbed area' till March 31, 2020, unless withdrawn earlier. A notification regarding this was issued by the Home Ministry on a day when Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig(Retd) Dr BD Mishra chaired a high-level security review meeting.
