Susan Gilbert TORRINGTON – Susan (Dan) Gilbert, 67, of Torrington, passed away peacefully at her home, with her family by her side, on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, after a long fight with kidney disease. She was the loving wife of William L Gilbert and mother of Michael and Matthew Gilbert. Susan was born in Hartford on Sept. 6, 1953, daughter of the late Florence (Rosenstien) and Marshall K. Dan. She was a graduate of Torrington High, class of 1971, and the University of Connecticut, class of 1975. Susan taught at Torrington High from 1975 to 1979.
