QPR 2-0 Town - Ipswich Town News

Second half goals from Clint Hill and Heidar Helguson consigned Town to the second league defeat of Paul Jewell’s reign against table-topping QPR at Loftus Road. The Blues had been the better side in the first half but after the break Neil Warnock’s side upped a gear and struck twice in the last quarter of an hour.

Town 3-0 Sheffield United - Ipswich Town News

Town 3-0 Sheffield United
Saturday, 5th Feb 2011 17:40
Goals from Damien Delaney, David Norris and a stunning third from Connor Wickham saw the Blues to a 3-0 victory over nine-man Sheffield United. Delaney put Town in front with a header in a very poor first half with Norris adding the second after the break. Grant Leadbitter missed a penalty before Wickham brilliantly ran from his own half to seal the win, prior to Robert Kozluk and Lee Williamson receiving red cards within a minute during the closing stages.
Blues boss Paul Jewell named not just a side unchanged from the 2-1 win at Derby in midweek, but also the same bench. Loan midfielder Jimmy Bullard made his home debut but there was no place in the squad for new signing Andy Drury. The Blades included former Blues Marcus Bent as their lone striker.
