However, the county mostly escaped any serious flooding woes from last week’s heavy rain, unless you’re a farmer whose soybean or corn fields are under water. The cloudbursts and storms that drenched other areas of the state missed the county and went north, reports showed. The Dundee Wastewater Treatment Plant, the county’s only official recording station for the National Weather Service, measured only three-quarters of an inch of moisture from June 21 through Sunday. The only significant rainfall measured was .74 of an inch on Friday, according to a stat sheet provided by David Rigel, plant superintendent.
