Her strategy moving forward, how do you think she wants to incorporate her next political agenda? i don t think we really know yet. there are reports the white house is reaching out to her people to figure out if she wants to pitch for obama care and not clear if she would make a perfect pitch for that since the people they have to go over is young and black and hispanics men. shi she can do whatever she wants in terms of politics. i think the strength of her brand she hasn t weighed in very often so whenever she does it s a surprise and very much a story. she very much at her network been able to rebrand that by going small. it was in special ways, i think, a scatter shot. she was going after the suburban woman at large and now she seems to be branding it specifically as a place for black women. i mean, she is trying to make that network must see tv for african-american women. last question to both of you. marvet, i ll start with you. oprah oscar, go? ....

joining me is marvet britto and emily henderson. marvet, start with you. oprah seems to be on a high right now especially with the fact that the movie no way is getting so much buzz you but her network is now thriving where it had been seeming to be a black hole for money and now seems to be turning a profit which she is proud of and she is back to acting but there was the shopping incident in switzerland that has brought a lot of attention her way where she thought that there was a racial bias from the store clerk. take a listen. she said, no, no, no. you don t want to see that one. you want to see this one because that one will cost, you are not able to afford that. and i said, well, no i really did want to see that one. she refused to get it! i said, okay. ....

interesting that the highlighters were requested but no questions. i thought that perhaps it came from the fact that in california and in this case the jurors were allowed to take notes. so, rather than come back into the courtroom and ask for read-back of testimony, which was sort of the practice when i was practicing law in washington, d.c., as a prosecutor, perhaps they needed the highlighters to remind themselves of the most powerful evidence that came in front of them or perhaps to go through those jury instructions. remember, there s only one count here, involuntary manslaughter, but the jury instructions were actually quite kmrefl. that is because this case is much more of a medical malpractice type case rather than sort of the typical hom stied that we all see on csi and that sort of thing, homicide by gun, by knife. so perhaps they needed it to weed through the elements that were outlined in the jury instructions, which again were pretty complicated. report ....

Concerned nfl commissioner roger goodell intends to meet with ben roethlisberger but that meeting hasn t happened yet. the statements from the nfl commissioner have been somewhat vague, not as tough as a lot of people would like. is this a matter for the nfl to also wait and see what happens in the criminal investigation before they essentially get in front of this? well, you know, the league is there to protect their brand equity and there to protect their team, the owners, the league overall. so for them, they ll make the best decision based on how ben and his team are handling the matter. so, again, when you get ahead of it and show your innocence and get your story out we know we re living in a day and age where people look for the quick dollar so it is, you know, it could be that this really is erroneous but we won t know that until we hear from ben and hear from his team. so the league should distance themselves if he isn t willing to stand up and get ahead of this matter and r ....
