The mural of Homer artists on Pioneer Avenue received an upgrade over the past week.

The Kenai Peninsula Orchestra presents their summer performance, “Scandinavian Summer,” at two venues on the Kenai Peninsula this weekend. The Homer concert is scheduled for Friday at the Christian Community Church at 7 p.m. and the Soldotna event will be performed Saturday at the Christ Lutheran Church, also at 7 p.m.

An avid camper and retired baker from Pulaski County High School cafeteria, Thelma Jane Davis McDaniel, age 78 of Pulaski, became a citizen of God’s glorious kingdom Monday, September 18, 2023, while at her home with husband by her side and surrounded by her loving family.  Born January 15,1945 in Wythe County she was the daughter of the late Dave and Mary Epperson Davis.
