An Indigenous-Filipino woman from Fisher River Cree Nation has been trying to address food security among Indigenous peoples through academia for two years now.
“Going through university and academia, I came to this realization of how torn I felt being an Indigenous and Filipino person going through Western academia,” said Taylor Wilson, a project coordinator at the Winnipeg Boldness Project.
