Trey Smith plans to launch the Philadelphia Engineering/Math Challenge in November and already has secured support from Drexel and the Philadelphia Math + Science Coalition. He'll use the money for materials for the challenge, stipends for the teachers and awards for the students, according to his application.
View Comments MANSFIELD - Madison Comprehensive High School had more valedictorians in its class of 2021 than most schools have in several years combined: 17 valedictorians, each with a 4.0 grade point average. Principal Sean Conway said it was the most valedictorians in school history. "It was an unbelievable class of talented kids and not just skilled academically but also athletically," he said.
