This Memorial Day weekend, Grand Valley law enforcement agencies will be working together to keep the streets safe during one of the busiest travel times of the year.
MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — Law enforcement officials from the Colorado State Patrol, Grand Junction Police Department and the De Beque Marshal's Department partnered together for a surge traffic enforcement operation on New Year's Eve, stopping 100 motorists.
Highway 50 had 12 injuries and 2 deaths just last year, and over 75 traffic complaints already this year. State troopers and some members of GJPD got together to patrol Highway 50 and hopefully turn the tide.
