Change order approved for courthouse project

A change order for work on the Lady of Justice statue on top of the Henry County Courthouse was approved Thursday by the Henry County commissioners.
After 140 years on top of the Henry County Courthouse, the Lady of Justice statue was removed in August for restoration. The project includes removal and restoration of the statue and returning it to a new base, as well as some exterior work on the courthouse to help with drainage issues.
The $20,313.04 change order is for the recreation of the wings at the base of the statue, according to Henry County Commissioner Glenn Miller, and is for W.R. Meyers Co. Inc. and IAP Government Services Group, which are working on the project. ....
