The incredible story of how a former left tackle turned a career-ending injury into a different career in football.

9/24/2022 – Michigan 34, Maryland 27 – 4-0, 1-0 Big Ten Blake Corum hopped outside because he had no choice. There he met a Maryland safety, who deposited his shoulder in Corum's midsection. A defensive end shed Luke Schoonmaker and jumped on Corum from the side. Corum was still a half-yard short of the first down. He wore one 260-pound Terrapin like a cape; the second was trying to break him in half. Corum took a step. He took another step. Tilted forward at a 45-degree angle, he looked like an Scandinavian World's Strongest Man competitor who has been tasked with dragging a sem...

Every college football game is its own story, with its own heroes and challenges. You can generalize and expect this guy or that guy to go off, but sometimes they don't. The transitive property of sports doesn't work in college football for this reason. A team can be flat one week and then play up the next week. Several years ago pistol meant the QB was closer to the LOS than he is in shotgun. No longer, at least for Michigan. SUBSTITUTION NOTES: Aside from the late game blender, nothing out of the ordinary. JJ/Cade/Warren/Bowman your te...

TECHNICAL NOTES: I believe I've fixed the audio offset issue. FORMATION NOTES: Michigan didn't do anything particularly unusual. A reminder for chart aficionados: This gets listed as "Gun TTB", for "trips tight bunch." Usually this is two tight ends so far this year but in the past it has been one TE and a couple WRs. "Gun TTE" is "twins twin TE", with two WRs to one side of the formation and two inline TEs. Hawaii was a 4-3 with few surprises or alterations. SUBSTITUTION NOTES: You probably do not need to be told that it was JJ/Cade/Warren at ...
