Council changes city code to expand affordable housing options
LANCASTER - In an effort to increase housing options in the city, Lancaster City Council approved two ordinances Monday night to expand city code to allow triplexes and container homes. Both ordinances had their own public hearings, a time for any proponents or opponents to speak for or against the changes. A hearing about triplex buildings was held Feb. 22, and the hearing regarding container homes happened at Monday's meeting.
