But he knows all too well from both his own experience and those of his fellow contestants that no matter how long you play the game and appear on the show, the effects of the experience can linger long after the final torches are snuffed and the million-dollar check is handed out. And those effects are not always pleasant. ....

FROM STAFF REPORTS
WILLARD Oak Harbor fell behind early but controlled the game for the final three quarters in its 52-41 victory over Willard.
The Crimson Flashes led 12-5 after the first quarter and 20-19 at halftime, but the Rockets (2-1, 1-1 SBC Bay) won the second half, 33-21.
“We came off a one-practice game scenario. We lost to Vermilion, and it got us ready for Willard. We knew it was going to be a hard one,” said Oak Harbor coach Eric Sweet. “We knew if we played good defense we’d have a chance because we knew we could score a little bit. (Blake) Booker caught fire and was able to score. Brenen Ish has been scoring for us, too. It was a huge win for those boys.” ....
