The 28-year-old spent the 2020 season with the St. Paul Saints where he had 27 RBI, five home runs and a batting average of .256. The Robbinsdale, Minnesota product was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the ninth round of the 2014 MLB draft. Murphy spent four seasons in the Twins minor league system before his first stint with the Saints in 2018.
