7/19/2021 HAMBURG, July 19 (Reuters) - Parts of the river Rhine in south Germany remained closed to shipping on Monday after a rise in water levels following recent torrential rain, German authorities said. The southern Rhine rose last week after record rainfall and floods which have killed at least 157 people, Germany's worst natural disaster in almost six decades. Stora Enso is selling its Sachsen newsprint mill in Germany, with the new owners planning to convert the facility to make containerboard.
Stora Enso will start co-determination negotiations with employees at its Kvarnsveden Mill in Sweden and Veitsiluoto Mill in Finland regarding a plan to permanently close down pulp and paper production at both mills.
