Relishing stepping back For years I was very tied to the business – I always said the captain should be last to leave the ship and I would be first in and the one who locked up. Lately, I’ve cut back my hours and take it easier. Three of our children are working in the business so there is no need for me to be there for the entire day. I’m still involved in the decision-making but I leave marketing up to the new team. My daughter Maxine runs that, they don’t need to hear what I have to say.
