Region/state roundup: Orioles promote OF Ryan McKenna from Tides
The Baltimore Orioles promoted outfielder Ryan McKenna from the Triple-A Norfolk Tides on Saturday. He'll take the place of outfielder Aaron Hicks, who was put on the 10-day injured list with a low back strain, retroactive to Wednesday. Also, Baltimore placed right-hander Mychal Givens on unconditional release waivers.
