Coldwater Township objects to Road Commission charges
The Daily Reporter The Coldwater Township Board Monday declined to allocate more than $15,000 to repave 5.1 miles of its local roads this summer after Branch County Road Commission Manager Jay Miller informed them the proposed township share would be $22,542. The dispute rekindles an old issue of whether townships must contribute at all to local road construction or maintenance under Michigan law.
