A long, long time ago, when Life was much slower and far less frenetic than today, there was plenty of excitement around these parts especially in Ocala, Inglis and Inverness. Why? Because it’s not every day when the most popular movie star in the world descends upon the area. Especially when that movie star also happens to be the “King of Rock and Roll” and one of the biggest show business stars ever.
The “Tupelo Twister” himself, also known as Elvis Aaron Presley, came to town to make a movie based on a book entitled, “Pioneer, Go Home!” That title was apparently considered a bit prosaic by the movie producers so they changed the name of the cinematic version of the story to “Follow That Dream.”
