Beijing. that w here we are getting at least in early reports that the ukrainian interior minister is saying that this aircraft was in fact shot down. i don t know if we have john cox on with us. reporter: yes. let me get anthony roman, who is a former pilot. are you there? i am here. obviously i can t stress enough, we are working to confirm these details. initially when you hear a plane has crashed, one s mind goes to technical, mechanical, what s happened here, but within the last few minutes, we have received information from the associated press that this plane may have been shot down. they are flying adjacent to or near. ....

Out whether or not we expect any comments from the president. right now the word is none that they are planning. thanks so much from chris jansing, our senior white house correspondent. jim cavanaugh, retired atf special agent, joins me by phone. thanks for jumping in here. to stress, we don t know the cause of this plane crash. mechanical, pilot error or whether there was an incident. and, if so, whether it came from the ukrainian side, the eastern ukrainian separatists or, in fact, russia. but we do know that a plane is down. 295 people. 285 passengers, 15 crew members. malaysian air flight 17 from amsterdam to kuala lumpur. if there were an incident, would a man pad shoulder fired missile be able to reach a plane at 35,000 feet or would it have to be one of these anti-aircraft systems like the buk? ....

This is a narrative, this is a statement with great detail probably about three months too late for my tastes but better late than never, which explains how they re coming up with that definition of a search area. it backs up what they re doing if great detail and makes good sense. so i think what they re doing is the right thing right now. what does this mean in terms of let s get straight here to who did it, if that s the right word, whether mechanical or a person. they always said this plane deliberately turned the off track. that s what they said, the malaysians, no one has ever changed that, at least to my knowledge. they re not saying the crew might have been unconscious from a lack of oxygen. does this make you think that this could have been not malicious? so let s do it this way. i m on the record as saying from the get go that i thought this scenario was a deliberate and intentional act. yes. but this report, which is a spectacular compilation and chronology from an e ....

No, not in terms of what happened. but in terms of where the plane is. they are looking in the right area. but it s a vast area to look in. but miles, how do we believe them now they re looking in the right area when they were looking in the right area the first time and it s wrong. they ve been looking in the right area a lot of times. before, we weren t getting any facts to back it up. they weren t explaining their rationale as they have in great detail here. what we re seeing is the kind of argument, case and data that all three of us have been calling for for literally months now. i should say that we ve had three scenarios here, mechanical, hijacking or pilot suicide/murder. this does not preclude any of those scenarios. all three are still in play. that means all three of you will be back. but we do hope that we find this plane. still to come team america makes it through to the next round. ....

at 2,716 feet, it s the tallest structure ever build on earth. towering over the city of dubai, it has the highest observation desk and highest restaurant in a sky scraper and the owners say the highest swimming pool in the world. is there room for tall buildings like this that aren t just a landmark or something beautiful to look at but actually function and are efficient and profitable? i think they are. people are building smarter. reporter: mohammed build it at an estimated cost of $1.5 billion. it opened in 2010. today it was 110 degrees. how do you keep it cool? good design, good advanced mechanic mechanical, electrical system, most advance skin on the building, glass we re using, the way it reflects heat. all that is a combination of advanced technologies and monitoring the building every single hour. ....
