MediaTek has unveiled its latest 4K smart TV chip with AI-enhancements that also comes with support for Dolby Atmos, 4K/60fps display resolution, HDMI 2.1 support and more
TVs powered by the MediaTek MT9638 are expected to launch in Q2 2021. The chip has a multi-core ARM Cortex-A55 CPU and ARM Mali-G52 GPU. The TV chip also supports HDR10+ within support for full-array backlight local dimming with more than 2000 zones.
