MediaTek's new TV chip MT9638 brings support for HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 6 and USB 3

TVs powered by the MediaTek MT9638 are expected to launch in Q2 2021. The chip has a multi-core ARM Cortex-A55 CPU and ARM Mali-G52 GPU. The TV chip also supports HDR10+ within support for full-array backlight local dimming with more than 2000 zones.
