Foreign National Sentenced for Conspiring to Launder Proceeds of Internet Fraud Schemes

A Fayetteville veteran will have to return a scooter and was sentenced this week for defrauding the Department of Veterans Affairs of almost $1 million in assets, the U.S. Attorneys Office announced.  Willie Dosher Cain, 73, of Fayetteville, pleaded guilty June 17 to one count of embezzlement, said Matthew G.T. Martin, United States Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina, in a news release.  U.S. District Judge Thomas D.
