Mr Clemo said: What we have seen is that around three-quarters of organisations operated on some level throughout lockdown but we are increasingly seeing that fall of income result in cutting the cloth with reducing services and redundancies.
He added that there had been a perfect storm of financial struggles combining with increasing demand for services due to the demands of community hardship and mental health during the pandemic. 
Sean Moore, chairman of Norfolk Blood Bikes, which transports urgently required medical items to hospitals in Norfolk and the East Anglian Air Ambulance, said the loss of supermarket collections, fetes and carnivals had a big impact financially. ....

Swaffham health service resumes this week after hurdles cleared

A mental health centre’s day care services have been restored for the lockdown period this week.
The Merle Boddy Centre in Swaffham opened its doors to its clients on Monday.
Marketing director Ian Pilcher said: “Of course, the numbers are restricted and small bubbles are established, but care can be given to those who are able to attend.
“There has been inevitable anxiety and some hurdles to clear, but with the experience of centre manager, Georgie Bell, the threshold has been crossed.
“Towards the end of last year, Merle Boddy Centre was given wonderful support from many generous donors. This kindness most certainly does so much to enable the administration and presentation to continue.” ....
