Wednesday, February 24, 2021 8:00 am August Rinhold Schoen, 89, of Elberta, Alabama passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at his residence. He was born on November 29, 1931 in Elberta on his family’s farm. He served three tours on the USS Hollister in the Korean War in which he was trained in pipefitting and welding. After his discharge, he returned to Elberta to pursue his career in plumbing with a local contractor.
