The Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is set to be available at a COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Douglas County starting on Thursday.According to a news release from the Douglas County Health Department, the single-dose vaccine will be available at the Metropolitan Community College Fort Omaha campus drive-thru vaccine clinic on Thursday.The health department said this will be the "first large community clinic" in Douglas County to offer the Johnson and Johnson vaccine since the use of the vaccine was stopped about two weeks ago.According to the news release, reservations for the clinics can be made at www.douglascountyhealth.com.DCHD said that walk-ins will also be welcome at the clinic.The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services will operate the clinic and will provide a calendar of what days the Johnson and Johnson vaccine is available.According to the DCHD, the Moderna vaccine will also be available on certain days.Those who have questions can call (402) 444-3400 on Thursday to contact the health department's COVID-19 information line.
