Mexican singer Peso Pluma on Wednesday canceled a planned upcoming concert in Tijuana after a drug cartel allegedly threatened to kill him if he performed in the crime-plagued border city.Tijuana authorities said last week that four signs had been put up in the city just south of San Diego, in the US state of California, threatening to murder the singer if he performed there on October 14.
Posters threatening the life of Mexican singer Peso Pluma were put up in Tijuana on Tuesday, Mexican authorities said, as he was set to perform in the United States at the MTV Video Music Awards later in the evening.Tijuana Mayor Montserrat Caballero said the prosecutor's office is investigating the posters, which promised that the artist would be killed if he performed in the border town as scheduled in October.
