WAUKESHA - The village has its first elected president, and it's not the former town chairman. In unofficial election results Tuesday, challenger Michael Doerr defeated Brian Tom Fischer for the leadership position Fischer had held through the municipality's transition from town to village in 2020. Doerr expressed gratitude for what he felt was a reaffirmation on his campaign in a race separated by only 262 votes.
