KSP investigating murder in Butler County

Foul play is suspected after a man was found dead at a home in Butler County Wednesday. Kentucky State Police were called to 2739 Caneyville Road in Morgantown and found 57-year old Michael Embry dead inside the home. An autopsy was scheduled at the Western Kentucky Regional Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville and KSP is calling it a murder investigation. Kentucky State Police investigate Butler County homicide

WNKY 40 News May 13, 2021 Kentucky State Trooper Daniel Priddy says the investigation started several days ago. “This individual was reported missing a couple days ago. We had troopers that were investigating a missing persons up until yesterday afternoon when we were contacted about a deceased male subject that was located at a residence on Caneyville Road,” said Priddy. KSP showed up to the home and found Embry dead inside of his home. Police have not confirmed cause of death but have arrested Samantha Stewart of Morgantown in connection to the death.
