Ogas earns fifth life-saving award from Ridgecrest Police Department Ridgecrest Daily Independent Officer Michael Ogas received his fifth life-saving award from the Ridgecrest Police Department at the Ridgecrest City Council Meeting Wednesday. Ogas previously worked as a paramedic for 9 years “so having that skill set has been invaluable to our community,” said RPD Chief Jed McLaughiln, who presented the award.
