Mercedes Benz is unveiling its new electric SUV built in Alabama today. This move comes as State leaders are working to electrify how residents get from here to there. Hyundai and the Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition are joining together to create Drive Electric Alabama.
Alabama officials want state residents to strongly consider the personal, economic and environmental benefits of driving electric vehicles, or EVs.
The governor announced a state-endorsed push towards electric vehicles, including an increase in the number of public EV charging stations throughout the state. The program is being called “Drive Electric Alabama.”
