Clive Chipkin was born in Yeoville in 1929 and, apart from a short period in the UK, lived in Johannesburg for the rest of his life. His wife, Valerie, whom he married in 1959, died in 2015 and it was in her honour that the archive of his historic research, located at Wits University, was named in 2017. Police responded to report of shooting, found body By Dan Schere | January 20, 2021 A man has been charged with killing a man with whom he shared a home in the Hillandale area of Silver Spring. Andre R. Moore, 21, has been charged with killing 40-year-old Michael Sutton on Monday in a home in the 900 block of Balmoral Drive, police said in a press release on Tuesday. Moore and Sutton shared the home, police said. Officer Rick Goodale, a police spokesman, wrote in an email to Bethesda Beat that Moore and Sutton weren’t related, but he didn’t know what their relationship was.
