Oklahoman A global real estate firm is joining up with local investors hoping to build a mix of housing, offices, restaurants and retail on dozens of blighted blocks west of Scissortail Park. Chicago-based JLL has offices in 80 countries and in addition to design and development, the firm also represents institutional and retail investors and high income clients. Michael Swaldi, senior managing director of Jll's land practice group, said the firm will help envision, build and finance Strawberry Fields and "where applicable" sell individual parcels of Strawberry Fields to other developers. ...

Downtown Dallas’ YMCA looking for new home Longtime building on Ross Avenue is for sale again. The T. Boone Pickens YMCA building is at Ross Avenue and Akard Street.(DAVID WOO/Staff Photographer) Commercial property brokers are renewing efforts to sell a prime downtown Dallas block. The YMCA disclosed in 2019 that it was interested in selling its building at Ross Avenue and Akard Street on the north side of downtown. The almost one-acre T.
