Supreme Court Justice Bryan Rounds dismissed the top charge of second degree murder in the case against state Trooper Christopher Baldner for the December 2020 death of 11-year-old Monica Goods.

“He just rammed me, Albany. He just f---ing rammed me,” state trooper Christopher Baldner says over his police radio that is picked up in the recording.

A state trooper, Christopher Baldner, faces a murder charge after he allegedly twice rammed the SUV in which Surrency’s daughter, Monica Goods, was a passenger. Surrency is pursuing civil litigation over her 11-year-old daughter’s death on Interstate 87 in upstate Ulster County on Dec. 20, 2020.
