It’s the Irish for Moriarty. It’s pronounced o-muir-a-her-tig. I actually used the Irish version as a user name initially as a horse with that name ran in Cheltenham years ago and the English couldn’t pronounce it. He’s a great commentator. Check out the rabbit chasing the fox (Pat Fox a Tipp hurler being pursued by Joe Rabbitte from Galway) or on Sean Og O hAilpin (Cork hurler) how his father is from Monaghan and his Mother from Figi, neither a hurling stronghold.
