Nicholas F. Gonzalez, 30, was charged Feb. 4 with aggravated arson, a Class X felony. The case was presented by the East Alton Police Department. According to court documents, on Jan. 29 Gonzalez allegedly set a fire in an apartment complex at 200 Illinois 3, knowing there were others present. Bail was set at $150,000.
