I ve always wanted to play and I ve watched all my cousins, dad and brother play growing up, Mitchell said.
I ve always been around the touch footy and oztag scene so I just thought why not give it a go.
She said her first year in the sport was amazing.
It was a new team so there was a lot of girls that were new to it, so that was good for me so I didn t feel so left out, Mitchell said.
And we actually went on to win the comp so it was a pretty amazing year.
