A resolution to transfer over $14.5 million dollars in unspent COVID relief to the Duluth Economic Development Authority for affordable housing, childcare, and blight reduction passed the Duluth City Council on Tuesday May 28th.
An approved transfer of $14.5 million to the Duluth Economic Development Authority should still support ongoing affordable housing investments but could also lead to other spending.
The council is not fully committed to earmarking the federal funds for affordable housing.
