The Buffalo Grove Park district has renamed Green Lake Park after park board Commissioner Larry Reiner who, with 35 years of service, is the longest-serving board member in the district's history.

The festivals are still going full speed ahead, including Palatine Street Fest, Glen Ellyn Festival of the Arts, West Chicago Food Festival, Brookfield Zoo's Zoo Brew and many more.
